
Street Fleet soars in first flight

Houston, TX - The inaugural Houston Aeros Street Fleet event was deemed a huge success. More than 100 area children and adults convened at Pearland's Independence Park Saturday for three hours of street hockey, food and fun. Pictures from the event are below.
The remaining Street Fleet clinics are as follows:
June 19 â Conroe Parks and Recreation (Candy Cane Park, 11 a.m.-2 p.m.)
June 26 â Bellaire Parks and Recreation (Lofton Park, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.)
July 4 â Sugar Land/First Colony Parks and Recreation (Lost Creek Park, 8-11 a.m.)
July 24 â The Woodlands Parks and Recreation (Site, time TBA)
In addition, 40 contestants tried out for "Sonic Boom" over the weekend. Judges are currently paring that list down to finalists who will compete for spots on Sonic Boom June 26. Also on June 26, the Aeros will be holding tryouts for "Strike Force" at the Crowne Plaza Downtown. Strike Force is the official entertainment team of the Aeros.
