Storm Tame Rats in Front of Packed House in Summerside

(Summerside, PE) It was standing room only at Three Oaks Senior High School in Summerside Tuesday night as the Island STORM beat the Saint John Mill Rats 114-103 in NBL Canada exhibition basketball.

The Mill Rats led 56-55 at halftime but the STORM broke the game open in the 4th quarter to come away with the win. Brandon Robinson and Rashad Whack each scored 19 points to lead the STORM while Aquille Carr had 19 to lead the visitors.

All proceeds from the game go toward the "In our own Backyard" breakfast and lunch program at Three Oaks. As an added bonus, the STORM gave a coupon for a free ticket to the teams' home opener on November 6th.

Next action for the STORM comes up this Friday when they travel to Halifax to take on the Halifax Rainmen in a rare 10:30 am game. This will be the STORM's last exhibition game before they take on the Mill Rats in their home opener Thursday November 6th at Eastlink Centre in Charlottetown.

Season tickets and single game tickets continue to be on sale at the Eastlink Centre Box Office.
