Lake Elsinore, CA March 19, 2007 - A couple thousand Storm fans, big league hopefuls, and green bearing partygoers packed the stadium Saturday night at The Diamond for the Inaugural Storm Sip 'n Swing St. Patrick's Day Party.

Hundreds waited in line for the opportunity to take batting practice on the same field as dozens of current and former major league stars. A live band, disc-jockey, and the loveable Storm mascot, Thunder, provided hours of entertainment to those who made the trip to the ballpark for this unique event. Those looking to get the traditional St. Patty's Day experience washed down some corned beef & cabbage with green beer in the Diamond Club restaurant.

With the help from On Deck Training Facility in Murrieta and their very own Team Storm, the idea of opening up the field to the general public for batting practice proved to be a huge success. After a spectacular St. Patrick's Day fireworks show featuring green and white pyrotechnics, fans made their way to the exits concluding what will undoubtedly be the first of many Sip 'n Swing parties at The Diamond.

The Storm kick off their 2007 home schedule on Thursday, April 12 as they play host to the High Desert Mavericks. Game time is scheduled for 7:07 pm. The first 5000 fans will receive a 2007 magnet schedule sponsored by Roto-Rooter.
