Sioux Falls Storm News Release
The Sioux Falls Storm of United Indoor Football (UIF) is proud to announce the re-signing of wide receiver James Terry as well as the signing of offensive lineman Paul Keizer for the 2007 season. Both players have experience in being involved with both the NFL and Arena Football League (AFL). This will be Terry's second year and Keizer's first year with the Sioux Falls Storm.
Terry was a standout at Kansas State where he totaled 92 receptions for 1,793 yards and 18 touchdowns in just two seasons with the Wildcats. Terry finished his playing career at Kansas State in 2003. Terry spent the 2004 season with the San Diego Chargers and the 2005 season with the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League. Terry joined the Storm two games into the 2006 season and tied a franchise record for receiving touchdowns in a season with 20. Terry finished the season with 47 receptions for 683 yards, helping the Storm claim their second consecutive United Bowl Title. Most recently, Terry was in camp with the Nashville Kats of the AFL.
Keizer spent time with the Buffalo Bills in the summer of 2006 and was most recently in camp with the Los Angeles Avengers of the AFL. A hamstring injury led to his release from both the Bills and Avengers. Keizer, who stands 6'4" 295lbs, played his first three seasons at South Dakota State as a tight end before converting to offensive guard in 2005. The four-year letterman for the Jacks was Second-Team All-North Central Conference in 2003 and 2004 Second-Team All-Great West Football Conference as a tight end. Keizer was also named to the 2005 All-Great West Football Conference Second-Team as a guard. He played an instrumental role in the Jacks averaging 277 yards per game and producing two all-conference running backs in 2005. Keizer received First-Team all-state recognition at Boyden-Hull High School in Iowa as a defensive lineman. His 62 tackles and 16 sacks earned him a trip to the Shrine Bowl in his senior season.
Training camp is underway as the Storm prepares for its season opener at Rock River on Saturday, March 24. See a full schedule by logging on to www.siouxfallsstorm.com.
