
Storm Send Boxing Day Crowd Home Happy with Comeback Win

(Charlottetown, PE) 1,843 fans, the majority cheering for the Island STORM, left Eastlink Centre on a high as the STORM fought back from a 12 point deficit at halftime to beat the Moncton Miracle 117-114 at the Annual STORM Boxing Day game in Charlottetown.
It was a "knock "em down, drag 'em out" affair with 51 fouls whistled in the game as the STORM took the lead for good with 7:48 to go in the 4th quarter. Brandon Robinson, back after being out for the better part of a month with an ankle injury, led the way for the STORM with 22 points and 7 rebounds. Mike Martin and Rashad Whack each scored 16 while Avery Smith had 14.
Troy Brewer was top gun for Moncton with 21 points while Stanley Robinson had a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.
At halftime the STORM announced the return of last years top STORM playoff performer, Nick Okorie. Okorie started the year playing in Europe but has decided to return to North America and rejoin the Island STORM for another playoff run. Okorie should be in the lineup on New Years Eve when the STORM play their next home game at 7pm against the Saint John Mill Rats.
