Great Lakes Storm News Release

Birch Run, MI (February 17, 2003)-Even though DeSean Hadley racked up a new game high of 30 points and 15 rebounds, the Storm just couldn't take down the Hoops. Alex Scales led the Hoops with 26 points to a 128-109 victory, taking six of the seven quarter points. This was certainly not an easy win.

Intensity hit a new high when almost half way through the fourth quarter, head coach Jeff Grayer was ejected from the game. Later a flagrant foul was called on a new Storm debut, Chris Allen, after sending Kareem Reid soaring into the basketball goal post. Then both Storm's Cam Stephens and Hoops' Chris Bacon were ejected for leaving the bench in heat of a near brawl.

The Storm will travel on Wednesday, February 19th to Grand Rapids Hoops to command respect on the court. Their last home game is Monday, March 3rd when they take on the Gary Steelheads at 7:05 P.M.
