Lake Elsinore Storm News Release

Lake Elsinore, CA, January 15, 2007 - The Lake Elsinore Storm is happy to be continuing the Riverside County Office of Education & Shea Homes Reading for Rewards (RFR) program for the 2007 season. Already in its eighth season, this program was developed to encourage students to read while rewarding them with two free tickets to a ballgame.

Beginning this month, members of the Storm front office will be visiting local schools to introduce the program to the students. As part of the visit, Thunder, the Storm mascot, will join the Storm staff in an interactive presentation of the classic baseball poem, "Casey at the Bat", by Ernest Thayer.

Special bookmarks, which will be used to record the titles of books he/she has read, will be distributed to each student (K-5). Once the student has read 10 books, they are to return their bookmark to their school no later than Monday, March 26th, 2007. Two Storm ticket vouchers, good for use on the dates below, will be sent out to all students who have successfully completed the program.

Sunday, May 13th vs. Modesto Nuts
