Sioux Falls Storm News Release

The Sioux Falls Storm of United Indoor Football (UIF) is pleased to announce the re-signing of wide receivers Ken Horton and Leon Hall Jr. for the 2007 season. These are the first wide receivers to re-join quarterback Terrance Bryant on the 2007 squad.

Horton is entering his third year of indoor football and second season with the Storm. In 2006, Horton finished 12th in the UIF in receptions with 47. He also added eight touchdowns and 525 yards receiving in his first year with the Storm. Horton spent 2005 with the Sioux City Bandits and hauled in 63 receptions and 13 touchdowns as the Bandits finished 14-3 and appeared in United Bowl I. Before embarking on his indoor career, Horton played one season at Savannah State in Georgia before transferring to Tuskegee University in Alabama where he was a 3-year starter.

Hall is also entering his third season of indoor football, spending both previous seasons with the Storm. One of Hall's biggest contributions to the team in 2006 came on special teams as he accounted for nine tackles and averaged 20.6 yards per kick return. Hall averaged 26.6 yards on five returns in the Storm's semifinal victory over Evansville. Hall also caught 27 passes and scored one touchdown during the 2006 campaign. In 2005, Hall caught 11 passes for 200 yards and 5 touchdowns in just 8 games. Hall also accounted for 12 tackles on special teams.

Storm President Colin Steen says, "Both Leon and Ken are play-makers and they will have plenty of opportunities getting the ball in their hands. Building our base of veteran players returning to the team is vital to another run at a championship and these to athletes are champions!"
