Tampa Bay Storm News Release
TAMPA BAY - Storm quarterback Adrian McPherson and wide receiver Joe Hills were honored for their performance in a 65-62 win over the Iowa Barnstormers this past Saturday night. The Arena Football League announced that they won the AFL Highlight of The Week.
AFL HIGHLIGHT OF THE WEEK: In a game that saw the Storm and Barnstormers trading scores all night, Tampa Bay found a victory as time expired. Down by a score of 62-58, McPherson (6-4, 225, Florida State) would engineer the final drive of the night with 23.7 seconds left on the clock. On the last play, with 0.3 seconds left in the game, he found Hills (6-4, 210, Tennessee State) in the back of the end-zone for the game-winning touchdown. The pair hooked up eight times for 120 yards and three touchdowns. They helped the Storm earn its first victory in Des Moines since 1996 when it defeated the Kurt Warner-led Barnstormers in ArenaBowl X.
