
Storm Holds Open Tryouts

MELROSE PARK, IL - The Chicago Storm of the Major Indoor Soccer League announces open tryouts for the team Saturday, September 15th from 1pm-5pm at the Sports Zone, located at 1945 Cornell ave. in Melrose Park Illinois. Candidates from the open tryouts will be invited back Saturday September 29 and Sunday September 30 for an invitation only tryout. Here's a chance to be a pro!
All prospects must bring their own practice gear (shorts, shirt, shin guards, indoor soccer shoes and socks). Applicants must also fill out the Chicago Storm Open Tryout Application and the MISL Waiver form, downloadable on the Chicago Storm website, www.chicagostorm.net. There is a 30 dollar processing fee for applications received before September 14th. After close of business September 14th the fee becomes 50 dollars. Applications, Waivers and fee can be mailed or dropped off at the Storm offices located at 1945 Cornell ave, Melrose Park, Illinois, 60160.
The Storm has a history of signing players from tryouts to their active roster. Former players Tijani Ayegbusi and Danny Waltman as well as current players such as midfielder/forward Awadalla Morad and defenders Chris Brisson and Branko Savic were signed to contracts after attending open tryouts.
The Chicago Storm is a member of the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) since 2004. Chicago's professional indoor soccer team plays its home games at the all-new Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates. Storm offices are located at 1945 Cornell Ave., in Melrose Park.
