
Storm Fall to Unbeaten Buffalo

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ â The Buffalo Bandits scored four unanswered goals in the fourth period and rolled to a 10-4 victory over the New Jersey Storm at the Continental Airlines Arena this afternoon. The Storm's four goals set a New Jersey single-game franchise record for scoring futility. Buffalo (3-0) maintains first place in the Central Division with its third straight win and the Storm (2-3) hold onto second place in the Eastern Division following its second straight loss.
Buffalo forward John Tavares earned Game MVP honors with a four goal, two assist performance. Bandit goalie Steve Dietrich (3-0) starred in net stopping 35 shots, including 11 in the Storm's scoreless fourth period. Jason Crosbie tallied five assists for Buffalo in the win.
New Jersey forward Roy Colsey added two first period goals to keep the game close early. Buffalo led 4-3 at intermission. Colsey now leads the NLL with 14 goals scored. Mike Benedict added three assists for the Storm. New Jersey netminder Derek General (1-3) turned aside 34 shots in defeat.
The Storm head to Ottawa next to take on the Rebel on Saturday, February 1st.
