
Storm Add Players with Impressive Resumes

The Sioux Falls Storm of United Indoor Football (UIF) is proud to announce the signing of defensive lineman Damien Dumonceaux (Doo-mon-soo) and running back Paris Moore. Both players had storied college careers and will be beginning their first season with the Storm with in 2007.
Damien was a three-year starter at Saint John's University where he helped catapult the Johnnies to its first national title since 1967 in 2003. Damien put together an impressive senior year in 2005 recording 78 tackles, 9 sacks, and 4 blocked kicks. St. John's finished the season with the 3rd ranked defense in the nation. The 6'1" 240 lb. defensive tackle's performance netted him a spot on the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) First Team as well as the Mike Stam Award as the conferences Defensive Lineman of the Year. Dumonceaux was also named Division III First-Team All-American and Division III Defensive Player of the Year. He attended St. John Prep during his middle and high school years where he was a team captain and named to the St. Cloud Daily Times All-Area First Team as an offensive tackle his senior year. Damien spent 2006 coaching the defensive line at St. John's University.
Moore spent the 2005 and 2006 seasons with the Tri-Cities Fever of the National Indoor Football League (NIFL). In 2006 he rushed 111 times for 513 yards, and 15 TD's. His 513 rushing yards was a Tri-Cities single season record. Moore shined in 2005 as special teamer with the Fever and played an instrumental part in the Fever capturing the NIFL Indoor Bowl V Title. During Moore'e senior year at the University of Minnesota Morris in 2002, he was named to the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) First Team and was a two-time NSIC Offensive Player of the Week. The 6'0" 190 lb running back was second team on both the d2football.com and Football Gazette All-Midwest Region teams.
Storm President Colin Steen says, "Paris is a kid we've been after for a few years now. His athleticism makes him a dynamic player and will really push for playing time at the running back position. Damien had a phenomenal career at the college level and understands what it takes to win. He took a year off to coach, but is excited to move to Sioux Falls and start his professional career."
