Tampa Bay Storm News Release

TAMPA BAY - The Tampa Bay Storm have acquired kicker Juan Bongarra (Bone--gah-rah) and wide receiver De'Cody Fagg, announced head coach Dave Ewart.

"We are excited to add Juan to the team and have De'Cody return," said Ewart. "Juan definitely helps us address an area we struggled with last season and De'Cody showed a tremendous work ethic making his way back onto the field."

Bongarra (6-foot-3, 190 lbs., Albany State) spent 2011, his rookie season in the Arena Football League, with the Tulsa Talons. He ranked third in the AFL in field goal conversion (55.0) and second in made field goals (11) while converting on 97-of-115 point after attempts. His rookie season was highlighted with game-winning 42-yard field goal as time expired against Iowa April 27 to give Tulsa a 61-60 victory.

A native of Buenos Aires, Argentina, Bongarra came to the States during his sophomore season in high school. He initially kicked collegiately at Scottsdale Community College, where earned several NJCAA honors, before finishing his collegiate career at Albany State where he earned all-conference honors his senior season.

Fagg (6-2, 205, Florida State) returns to the Storm after seeing limited action in 2011 as he recovered from a knee injury. He initially suffered a knee injury at the 2008 National Football League scouting combine after a finishing successful career with the Seminoles. Prior to college he was named the Florida Class 2A high school Player of the Year.
