
Storm Activate Robinson and McKinney for Playoffs, Place Williams on IR

(Charlottetown, PE) The Island STORM announced Wednesday the teams leading scorer and rebounder, Brandon Robinson, and Prince Edward Island native Doug McKinney have been activated to play in the upcoming NBL Canada Playoffs which begin for the STORM this week at Eastlink Centre in Charlottetown against the Saint John Mill Rats.
Robinson had been on Injured Reserve for about two weeks with a lower body injury while McKinney is back after successful elbow surgery.
The STORM also announced Wednesday they have placed veteran power forward Mike Williams on Injured Reserve. Williams is scheduled for season ending ankle surgery to repair an injury which has been nagging him for most of the season.
The STORM and Mill Rats begin their best of five first round playoff series Thursday night on Prince Edward Island at 7pm with game two in the series set for Harbour Station in Saint John this coming Saturday night at 7 o'clock. Game three is back at Eastlink Centre Sunday afternoon at 2pm while games four and five, if necessary, will be played next Tuesday in Saint John and next Thursday in Charlottetown.
Playoff packages and single game tickets are available at the Eastlink Centre box office weekdays from 11am to 5pm and game days from 11am until game time. STORM Fans call also purchase online at www.stormbasketball.ca.
