SACRAMENTO, CALIF., April 12, 2006- The 2006 WNBA Champion Sacramento Monarchs announced today that forward DeMya Walker is the proud new mother of a baby girl, Zachara Catherine.
Zachara was born on April 11, 2006, at 8:34 p.m., weighing 7 pounds, 5 ounces and measuring 19 inches long.
Mother and child are doing well. Walker is currently living in Houston and will remain there during her maternity leave.
Throughout her pregnancy, Walker has been writing a blog for the Monarchs website.
