Charlotte Stone Crabs News Release
PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. - Tickets for the potential, first-ever Charlotte Stone Crabs playoff games go on sale to the general public at the Charlotte Sports Park box office tomorrow, Thursday, August 27, at 9:00 a.m.
If the Stone Crabs make the playoffs, then Game 1 of the Florida State League Division Series would be played against the I-75 division rival Fort Myers Miracle at 7:05 p.m. on Tuesday, September 8, at Charlotte Sports Park. The FSL South division also owns home field advantage for the FSL Championship Series, so if the Stone Crabs advance to the Championship, they would host Games 3-5 from September 13-15.
The Stone Crabs are currently in a tight playoff race but have not yet clinched a playoff spot. The Miracle earned a playoff berth after winning the first half division crown and are currently in first place in the second half standings. If Fort Myers wins both halves, the team with the second best overall season record will be awarded a wild card spot, and Charlotte currently holds a 6 ½ game lead over the St. Lucie Mets for the second best overall record in the FSL South division with 12 games left to play.
Playoff tickets, like regular season tickets, start at just $5 and can be purchased by calling 941-206-HITS or visiting the Charlotte Sports Park box office. The operating hours for the box office are as follows:
Monday-Friday: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Saturday: 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Sunday: Closed
