Stone Crabs Host Promotion-Packed, Eight-Game Homestand

PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. - The Charlotte Stone Crabs return to Charlotte Sports Park on Saturday, July 31 for an eight-game homestand with series against the Dunedin Blue Jays (Toronto) and Lakeland Flying Tigers (Detroit).

Promotions during the homestand include Christmas in July, a Birdzerk! appearance, Penny Pinchers Night, Wild West Night and post-game fireworks plus daily promotions including Dollar Dog Night presented by Red Hog Chicago on Mondays, Seniors Eat Free Tuesdays presented by Ruhl Law Group, Chick-fil-A Winning Wednesday and Thursty Thursday presented by The Ice House Pub.

The Stone Crabs will start the homestand on Saturday, July 31 with a four-game series against the Dunedin Blue Jays. Charlotte Sports Park will transform into a winter wonderland to celebrate Christmas in July at the ballpark with holiday decorations throughout the park, picture opportunities with Santa Claus, holiday music and more. Donation centers for the Salvation Army will also be located at each gate, and fans who donate an approved item at the game can receive a free Stone Crabs team hat. National entertainment act Birdzerk! will also entertain the crowd throughout the game with on-field skits that include players and umpires. The teams will then play a matinee on Sunday, August 1 with first pitch scheduled for 5:35 p.m. Fans can check their local Sun Newspaper for a special family-four pack to the game as part of Sun Newspapers Family Days. Gates open at 4:30 p.m.

The series continues at 7:05 p.m. on Monday, August 2 with gates opening at 6:00 p.m. for Dollar Dog Night presented by Red Hot Chicago. Hot dogs are just $1 throughout the entire game.

The series finale will be played on Tuesday, August 3 with Seniors Eat Free Tuesday presented by Ruhl Law Group. All fans 55 and over will receive a free hot dog, bag of chips and soft drink with the purchase of a game ticket, which starts at just $6 for general admission. Tuesday also marks KRAFT Singles Tuesday Night tickets where fans can receive a buy-one, get-one-free ticket offer if they present a KRAFT Singles wrapper to the box office at the time or purchase. The Stone Crabs will then start a four-game series with the Lakeland Flying Tigers at 7:05 p.m. on Wednesday, August 4 with a Chick-fil-A Winning Wednesday. If the Stone Crabs win, everyone in attendance will receive a coupon for a free sandwich from the Chick-fil-A in Port Charlotte as they exit the stadium. Gates open at 6:00 p.m.

The matchup continues on Thursday, August 5 with a Thursty Thursday presented by The Ice House Pub. Thursty Thursday drink specials include $1 domestic drafts and $2 domestic bottles through the fifth inning of the game. First pitch is 7:05 p.m. with gates opening at 6:00 p.m.

The teams will play the third game of the series on Friday, August 6 with gates opening at 6:00 p.m. for Penny Pinchers Night with special discounts throughout the stadium including $1 hot dogs, $1 soft drinks and $1 domestic draft beers plus exclusive sale items and the Team Store and much more. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.

The homestand concludes with Wild, West Night on Saturday, August 7. This rowdy night of fun at the ballpark will include a petting zoo, pony rides and western-related in-game promotions capped off by a dazzling fireworks display immediately after the game. Gates open at 6:00 p.m. with first pitch at 7:05 p.m., otherwise known as "High Noon."
