
Stone Crabs/Cardinals Postponed Due to Heavy Rains & Field Conditions; DH Re-Scheduled for Sunday

PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. - The doubleheader between the Charlotte Stone Crabs and Palm Beach Cardinals scheduled for 7:05 p.m. tonight has been postponed due to heavy rains in the area and unsafe field conditions. The game will be made up tomorrow as part of a doubleheader starting at 4:35 p.m. with gates opening at 3:30 p.m.
The fireworks display scheduled for tonight's game has been re-scheduled for Fan Appreciation Night on Saturday, September 5. Fans with tickets for tonight's game can exchange them at the Charlotte Sports Park box office for any Stone Crabs 2009 home game, including Fan Appreciation Night with the re-scheduled fireworks show on September 5.
Charlotte and Palm Beach will play a pair of seven-inning games tomorrow with the first pitch scheduled for 4:35 p.m. A 30-minute interval will follow the end of the first game before the second game begins.
Fans with tickets for tonight's postponed game or tomorrow's regularly scheduled game can stay for both games of the doubleheader. Tickets are available starting at just $6 at the Charlotte Sports Park box office, on the phone at 941-206-HITS or online at stonecrabsbaseball.com.
