
Stockton Pumas make home debut against Turlock Express

Stockton, CA - Dec. 6, 2007 - The Stockton Pumas, the official minor league affiliate of the California Cougars, make their Stockton Arena debut on Sunday December 9 against the Turlock Express at 4:00PM. Admission is free to fans that purchase tickets to the Cougars match with La Raza de Monterrey starting at 6:15PM that same night.
Stockton and Turlock are members of the Premiere Arena Soccer League (PASL). The PASL became the official minor league affiliate of the Major Indoor Soccer League on October 11, 2007.
The Pumas are the defending national champions, having won the Summer national tournament in July. Cougar goalkeeper Matt McDougall was the tournaments most valuable player. Head coach Bernie Lilavois played for and coached the team in their first year of existence. Current Cougar forward Chris Handsor takes over as head coach for the winter season.
The Pumas begin their 10 game regular season schedule this Saturday, December 8 at 9:00PM in Alameda against Bladium. The Pumas play all of their home games at Stockton Arena. All Puma games are scheduled to begin two hours before Cougar home games.
An official team roster will be announced shortly.
