Stingrays and Wings Meet in Eastern Conference Semifinals

North Charleston, SC - The South Carolina Stingrays, proud ECHL affiliate of the Washington Capitals, announced today the schedule for the team's best-of-seven Eastern Conference Semifinals playoff series against the defending Eastern Conference champion Kalamazoo Wings.

The Stingrays advanced to the Eastern Conference Semifinals defeating the Gwinnet Gladiators in the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals 3-1. The Wings head to the second round after moving past the Wheeling Nailers in the best-of-five series 3-1.

This series marks the first time the Stingrays and Wings have met in the postseason. During the 2011-12 regular season, the Stingrays went 2-2-0-0 against the Wings and are 7-5-0-0 all-time against their North-Division rival. The series features a 2-3-2 format and begins at Wings Stadium in Kalamazoo, Michigan with Game One on Friday, April 13 at 7:30 p.m. and Game Two on Saturday, April 14 at 7:30 p.m. The two teams move to the North Charleston Coliseum for Game Three on Wednesday, April 18 and Game Four on Friday, April 20 at 7:05 p.m. Game Five (if necessary) would be Saturday, April 21 at 7:05 p.m. If necessary, Game Six and Seven will be back in Kalamazoo on Tuesday, April 24 and Wednesday, April 25 at 7:00 p.m.

Game 2 - Saturday, April 14 at 7:30 p.m. ET at Kalamazoo

Game 4 - Friday, April 20 at 7:05 p.m. ET at South Carolina

Game 5 - Saturday, April 21 at 7:05 p.m. ET at South Carolina (If Necessary)

Game 6 - Tuesday, April 24 at 7:00 p.m. ET at Kalamazoo (If Necessary)

Game 7 - Wednesday, April 25 at 7:00 p.m. ET at Kalamazoo (If Necessary)
