Edmonton Stingers News Release
EDMONTON, AB- The Edmonton Stingers of the CEBL have launched their Fresh Nets initiative with the goal of putting new basketball nets on every City of Edmonton owned basketball hoop. This program comes as part of their larger Fresh Hoops program, which refurbishes entire basketball courts at public schools.
"Fresh Nets is all about giving local hoopers a place to learn & develop their skills," said Stingers president Reed Clarke. "A new basketball net is a small change that can have a large impact on a community. We're thrilled to be working with the City of Edmonton and our generous partners to make sure every City of Edmonton hoop is ready for game time before labour day weekend."
The Edmonton Stingers have provided numerous avenues to make basketball more accessible to all. In addition to their Fresh Hoops and Fresh Nets program, they have partnered with Kids Up Front Edmonton to launch their Basketball for All program, providing thousands of tickets to youth this season.
The Stingers have two home games remaining in their 2022 season on July 23rd and 27th. Fans will also be able to get into K-Days for free on those dates when they show their Stingers tickets at the gate.
