
Sting to Hold Auditions for Hip-Hop Spirit Squad

The Charlotte Sting is seeking energetic and creative young men and women for their 2004 Hip-Hop Spirit Squad. Auditions for the Hip-Hop Spirit Squad will be held on Saturday, May 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Charlotte Coliseum (100 Paul Buck Boulevard, Charlotte). Registration and check-in will begin at 9 a.m. at the back entrance of the building.
Hip-Hop Spirit Squad hopefuls, who will audition for a chance to perform dance routines and energize the crowd at all Sting home games, must be between the ages of 10 and 15, have a GPA of 3.0 or better and a parent/guardian signature. They must also be able to attend 14 of the Sting's 17 home games and weekly practices. Participants should wear dance friendly shoes and hip-hop urban style dress to the audition.
