Sting make roster moves

The Charlotte Sting waived free agent rookies Natasha Brackett and Andrea Bills, it was announced today by General Manager and Head Coach Trudi Lacey. In addition, veteran Teana Miller arrives in camp on Wednesday after completing her season in France.

Brackett, a 5-9 guard, was signed as a free agent on April 19, 2005. In one preseason game with the Sting, she tallied two points in seven minutes of action. The Charlotte native helped Providence Day School to state championships in 1998 and 2001 before posting 14.0 points and 3.9 rebounds in 132 games at Auburn.

Bills, a 6-3 center, was signed to a training camp contract on April 20, 2005. In one preseason game with the Sting, she posted two rebounds in eight minutes. A native of Moreno Valley, California, Bills averaged 9.9 points and 6.7 rebounds while appearing in every game over the course of her career at the University of Oregon.

Miller, a 6-3 center, enters her third season with the Sting after originally signing as a free agent on April 30, 2002. Miller has averaged 3.5 points and 2.8 rebounds in 40 career games. She sat out the first part of the 2004 season after giving birth to daughter Trinity on April 20, but returned for the final nine games of the season to average 3.9 points and 2.0 rebounds while shooting .519 (14-27) from the field. A native of Beulaville, North Carolina, Miller averaged 12.5 points and shot .588 (487-828) in her three-year career at Tulane.
