Sting Draftees Named to OHL Gold Cup Rosters

At a press conference earlier today, the rosters for the 2014 U16 OHL Gold Cup were announced at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium. The tournament will see the best Minor Midget players from across the province represent their respective leagues and compete against one another.

Of the 16 players selected by the Sarnia Sting in the 2014 OHL Priority Selection, 13 were eligible to be selected to represent their league in the OHL Cup. Of the 13 eligible - 6 skaters were named to an OHL Gold Cup team this morning.

GTHL Red

1st Round - 1st Overall: Jakob Chychrun - Toronto Jr. Canadiens

GTHL Blue

2nd Round - 38th Overall: Jordan Kyrou - Mississauga Senators

6th Round - 101st Overall: Franceso Luca - Mississauga Senators

HNO

3rd Round - 53rd Overall: Bradley Belisle - Thunder Bay Kings

Alliance

3rd Round - 55th Overall: Chase Campbell - Waterloo Wolves

OMHA

4th Round - 61st Overall: Jake O'Donnell - Clarington Toros
