
Sting Announce Pair of Roster Moves

GLENDALE, ARIZONA --- Arizona Sting Head Coach and General Manager Bob Hamley announced Saturday that he has signed veteran forward Curt Malawsky. Malawsky was released by the San Jose Stealth on Friday.
"We're thrilled to be bringing Curt into our organization," said Hamley. "He's a very passionate individual that will add some real veteran leadership to our team."
In six games with the San Jose Stealth this season, Malawksy has registered 2G-7A-9P. The 6'1", 175 lb. forward is currently playing in his ninth NLL season. As a member of the Rochester Knighthawks, Vancouver Ravens, and San Jose Stealth, Malawsky has scored 180 goals while dishing out 203 assists for 383 points in 105 career games. His best offensive season came in 2003 when, as a member of the Knighthawks, he set career highs in both goals (31) and points (60). In 10 career playoff games, Malawsky has registered 19G-10A-29P.
The Sting also announced Saturday that they have released forward Jason Clark. In four games with the Sting this season, Clark had one assist and 7 loose balls. The 31-year old is currently in his seventh professional season. Last year, Clark scored 13 goals and had 9 assists for 22 points in 15 games with Arizona.
