Ottawa Renegades News Release
OTTAWA â The Ottawa Renegades are inviting their fans for one of the most exciting road trips of the 2004 season.
On Saturday, October 23rd, the Renegades visit the Montreal Alouettes, as the heated rivalry between the two Eastern division foes lights up once again. The battle gets underway at 3 p.m. inside the Olympic Stadium, with more than 50,000 fans expected to take in the affair.
The Renegades are welcoming their supporters on the VIA Rail Rivalry Train for a day-long road trip to Montreal. The Rivalry Train is a special service set up for Renegades backers, and includes a round-trip train ticket on VIA Rail, an exclusive Rivalry Train t-shirt and a ticket for the Week 17 game. The train is set to leave Ottawa on game day (October 23rd) at 9:50 a.m. and will arrive in Montreal at 11:35 a.m.
As a special bonus for this year's Rivalry Train supporters, Renegades fans will travel back to Ottawa on the train with the players and the coaching staff at the conclusion of the game. The Rivalry Train departs from Montreal at 9 p.m.
A limited amount of spots are still available for the Rivalry Train. Fans wanting to come along on the trip can register in a number of different ways. The registration form can be downloaded off the Renegades web site (http://www.ottawarenegades.net) and faxed to the team offices (613-231-7677), or fill out a form at the Renegades office on 1015 Bank Street. Interested parties may also sign-up at any Renegades home game.
The cost of the trip is only $110 (tax included) for economy class fare. Seating is limited so fans are urged to book their trip on the 2004 VIA Rail Rivalry train for the Renegades-Alouettes football game in Montreal on October 23rd.
Ottawa's next home game is October 9th when the Renegades host the Saskatchewan Roughriders at Frank Clair Stadium. Tickets are still available by calling 613-755-1166.
