OTTAWA, ON - It is always a must-see game when Canadian rivals - Ottawa and Edmonton - meet and Friday night at TD Place Fury FC striker Thomas Stewart produced arguably his best game in Fury colours helping extend his the club's unbeaten streak to three games. His goal and performance scored him a spot on the NASL Team of the Week, the league announced on Wednesday.
Stewart found the back of the net for the third time this season when he opened the scoring in the second minute (83 seconds) with the fastest NASL goal in Ottawa's history. It marked the second straight contest that Stewart was on point.
"I'm just doing what I do best which is making good runs and being patient waiting for my chances," said Stewart. "The team is playing a good attacking style and that creates chances for me. Hopefully, I will keep scoring and add to my tally. I'm excited with the week ahead of us."
