Steres Named to 2013 USL PRO All-League Second Team

Wilmington, NC - Wilmington Hammerheads defender Daniel Steres has been named to the 2013 USL PRO All-League Second Team. USL PRO honored the top performers from the 2013 regular season this afternoon, naming both All-League First and Second Teams as chosen through league-wide team management votes.

Steres made his USL PRO debut this season with the Wilmington Hammerheads and was awarded Most Valuable Player by popular vote from Hammerheads fans at the final match of the season. Steres led the Hammerheads in goals during the 2013 season with seven, while also tallying three assists overall.

The finalists for Coach of the Year, Defender of the Year, Goalkeeper of the Year, Rookie of the Year and Most Valuable Player will be announced on Wednesday, September 4, with the awards being presented at the USL PRO Championship Media Luncheon on Friday, September 6, in Orlando.

The 2013 USL PRO Championship is scheduled for Saturday, September 7 at 7:30 p.m. at the Florida Citrus Bowl between Orlando City and the Charlotte Eagles. The match will be streamed live online via UNATION at www.uslnation.com.
