
Stephens, Carr Earn Weekly Awards

Orlando Predators DB Paul Stephens has been named the Riddell Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in the team's 47-41 victory over the Portland Steel.
Stephens posted five total tackles with two pass breakups and an interception in the win. He picked off a pass attempt at the goal line to halt Portland's first drive of the contest, allowing the Predators to jump out to an early 13-0 lead. Stephens is now tied for fourth in the Arena Football League with six interceptions on the season. Orlando is tied for second in the League with 18 interceptions as a team.
In addition, wide receiver Greg Carr earned the Cutters Catch of the Week for snaring a 37-yard touchdown pass while falling into the end zone in the second quarter. He finished with seven receptions for 101 yards and two scores and ranks seventh in the AFL with 28 touchdown receptions on the season.
The Predators (12-2) travel to take on the Arizona Rattlers (11-3) in Week 16. Kickoff is scheduled for 9:30 p.m. ET on Monday, July 18.
