Swift Current Broncos News Release
Swift Current, SK - The National Hockey League Players' Association (NHLPA) announced that Swift Current Broncos prospect, forward Tyler Steenbergen, has been invited to the third annual Allstate All-Canadians Mentorship Camp, which will be held at the Hershey Centre in Mississauga, ON from August 6th to 10th 2013.
Steenbergen, was selected 12th overall by the Broncos in the 2013 WHL Bantam Draft. The 5'10", 160-pound product of Sylvan Lake, AB led the Red Deer Rebels White in scoring last season with 67 points (39-28-67) and recorded 20 penalty minutes. Players attending the five-day Allstate All-Canadians Mentorship Camp will learn the necessary steps to support budding hockey skills through fundamental factors including appropriate nutrition, fitness, on-ice training and mental skills - the four pillars of hockey development identified by the NHLPA's Allstate All-Canadians Mentorship Program.
Hosted by NHL players under the leadership of 21-year NHL veteran Gary Roberts, the intensive five-day camp will conclude with the Allstate All-Canadians Mentorship Cup - an inter-squad exhibition game - on Saturday, August 10th at 1PM ET, broadcast on TSN.
