Hounds 8-2-1 in February

The SteelHounds are coming off the best month in franchise history winning eight games in the month of February. The previous high was six wins in December of 2006. Youngstown went 8-2-1 during the month going an impressive 5-0 on the road and 3-2-1 at the Chevy Centre.

Christian and Richards Scorching Hot

The Hounds were led in February as they have been all year by the dynamic duo of Chris Richards and Jeff Christian. The pair combined for 21 goals and 31 assists in 11 games during the month. Christian led the way with 27 points (8-19=27) and Richards followed with 25 points (13-12=25). Both finished the month with a plus nine rating.

Down the Stretch They Come

The playoff are just around the corner and with 13 games remaining for the Hounds they currently are 14 points clear of being outside the post-season picture. Youngstown has 61 points which are eight better than the sixth seeded Wichita Thunder and two points in back of the fourth seeded Oklahoma City Blazers. If the playoffs were to begin today the Hounds would be facing the Memphis RiverKings (34-13-3, 72 points) in the CHL Playoffs.
