Steelheads Welcome Famous Zooperstars to the Genesis Center Friday Night

GARY, Indiana (May 17, 2007) - The famous Zooperstars will be featured this coming Friday night at halftime of the Gary Steelheads' game with the Oklahoma Storm. They will also entertain at various time out periods during the game.
The Zooperstars are one of the hottest sports entertainment acts in the country, featured on NBC's Today Show, ESPN, CNN and WGN Television in Chicago. The group is made up of characters who draw their names from famous athletic figures, such as "Shark McGuire," "Mackerel Jordan" and "Harry Canary." In addition, the Steelheads will be giving away one thousand miniature rubber basketballs, courtesy of U.S. Steel.
The Zooperstars have performed for over thirty million people in the United States, Canada, Italy, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Finland, Taiwan and Japan. They are in heavy demand, performing upwards of 175 dates a year.
"They're one of the most attractive acts in minor league sports," said Steelheads' Vice President and General Manager Kevin Spudic. "The fans have a great time with the Zooperstars. They put on a great show."
