Steelheads Release Second Edition of Showtime With the Steelheads

GARY, Indiana (May 15, 2007) - The Gary Steelheads have released the second in a series of Internet radio shows, known as "Showtime With the Steelheads." The program is part of OurSports Central Radio, a multimedia showcase of Internet Radio Shows for minor league and second-tier professional sports teams and their leagues.
This week's program features an interview with Steelheads' coach Cliff Levingston. A successful NBA player who won two championship rings with the Chicago Bulls, Cliff talks about Steelheads' forward Jamario Moon and his chances of advancing to the NBA. The Steelhead' coach reviews Gary's inaugural road trip in the USBL, as well as previewing Friday night's upcoming game with the Oklahoma Storm at the Genesis Center in Gary. And, as a former player for both the Bulls and the Detroit Pistons, Cliff evaluates the current NBA quarterfinals series between the two teams.
In "Kevin's Corner," Steelheads' Vice President and General Manager Kevin Spudic tells fans about the upcoming visit of the famous Zooperstars at the Genesis Center Friday night. The Zooperstars are considered to be one of America's preeminent minor league attractions, having performed for over 30 million people worldwide. The group performs around 175 dates yearly.
Listeners will also have the chance to hear firsthand from a member of the Steelheads' ownership group, Showtime Sports and Entertainment. Dr. Basil Ubanwa will share his vision for professional sports and entertainment in Northwest Indiana.
Showtime With the Steelheads is hosted and produced by Bill Hazen, the Steelheads' Director of Media/Public Relations. The program utilizes digital audio techniques to increase the audio quality of interview subjects, wherever they happen to be.
Showtime With the Steelheads is available for download at the OurSports Central web site (www.oursportscentral.com). Once downloaded, the program can be heard either directly on a computer, or it can be transferred to an .mp3 player for listening anywhere at any time. The program will be updated weekly throughout the current season.
