
Steelheads Invade Michigan Sunday; Last Game Prior to All-Star Break

GARY, Indiana - The Gary Steelheads hope to reach the CBA All-Star break at 3 games over .500, if they defeat the Michigan Mayhem at the L.C. Walker Arena in Muskegon Sunday. The Steelheads have not won in Muskegon this season.
This will be the third game for the Steelheads in four nights, with two of them being on the road. After defeating the Mayhem 109-102 in overtime at the Genesis Center Thursday night, Gary traveled to Sioux Falls and lost 109-104 Friday night. The defeat ended a three-game winning streak for the Steelheads.
Guard Jimmie "Snap" Hunter paced Gary at Sioux Falls with 28 points, along with 3 rebounds and 3 assists. Guard Brian Chase, fresh from a career-high 26 points against Michigan, added his second double-double of the season with 25 points and 10 assists. Edmund Saunders and Marlowe Currie each contributed double-double efforts with 13 points. Saunders added 12 rebounds and Currie 11. Center Chris Alexander had 12 rebounds to go with his 7 points.
The Steelheads' game at Michigan will be carried by WJOB in Hammond (1230khz) and WIMS in Michigan City (1420khz). Game time is set for 2:30PM CST.
