
Steelheads end losing streak, defeat Dakota, 108-98

The Gary Steelheads opened their final home stand of the 2004/05 season tonight as they hosted the Dakota Wizards for the first time this season in the Genesis Convention Center. The Steelheads were not a good host as they won 108-98 and captured six quarter points in the process. The win ends an eight game losing streak for the Steelheads.
The Steelheads jumped out to an early 31-28 1st quarter lead and took that lead into the locker room at the end of the half, 56-52. The Steelheads suffered a lapse, losing the 3rd quarter 27-22, but stormed back to capture the 4th quarter 30-19 and the game.
Leading the way for the Steelheads was David Graves with 26 points. Jemeil Rich had 20 points and 11 assists. Renaldo Major had 14 points and 10 rebounds. The "InfinityProSports.com Player of the Game" was Keith Closs. Closs had 12 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists and 7 blocked shots in the win. Bobby Lazor and Bryant Notree each had 20 points in the loss for the Wizards.
