Steelheads Announce Summer Basketball Camps
June 3, 2007 - United States Basketball League (USBL)
Gary Steelheads News Release
GARY, Indiana (June 3, 2007) - The Gary Steelheads will hold the first of two summer basketball camps at the Genesis Center in Gary, beginning Tuesday June 19th through Thursday, June 21st. The camp is open to all boys and girls entering grades 4-12.
Participants will learn about basketball directly from the pros, including current Steelheads' coach and former Chicago Bull standout Cliff Levingston. The camp will emphasize individual improvement through the development of fundamental basketball skills. The coach and his staff will use drills and game simulations in an environment that is both supportive and fun.
"We're excited about trying this," said Gary Steelheads' Vice President and General Manager Kevin Spudic. "There are so many camps out there, but what Cliff does so well is to break down the fundamentals for kids."
The cost for the camp is just $50, with a second child paying just $45. Interested parties are invited to visit the Gary Steelheads' web site (www.steelheadshoops.com) or call the Steelheads' office for further information at (219) 883-3000. The basketball camp is sponsored by the Lake County Sheriff's Department and the Post-Tribune.
