Birmingham, Ala. - The Alabama Steeldogs have partnered with Birmingham sports talk radio station WSPZ 690 'The Animal' to be the team's 2007 flagship station.
WSPZ will broadcast all 16 Steeldogs regular season games, as well as any postseason games.
"Our organization is very excited to continue its partnership with one of the top sports stations in the state of Alabama," said Steeldogs Managing Partner Scott Myers. "Our fans will be able to follow the team all season long on WSPZ and the Steeldogs will be able to add to the first-rate sports programming that the station offers."
WSPZ broadcasts a number of live local sports shows featuring local on-air personalities such as Matt Coulter and Scott Griffin in the mornings and Jim Dunaway and Ryan Brown in the afternoons. WSPZ also offers a number of nationally syndicated programs through the Fox Sports and ESPN Radio Networks.
In addition to carrying all the game broadcasts, WSPZ will carry the Ron Selesky radio coaches' show with the date and time to be determined. Coulter and former University of Alabama center Roger Shultz will handle the team's broadcasts throughout the year.
