The Steel are getting ready to host the Kenai River Brown Bears in a weekend series.
The Brown Bears are 4th in the Midwest Division with a record of 11-15. They are coming off a 3-game series last weekend with the MN Magicians where they came out 1-2. Forward Zach Krajnik leads the team with 22 points. Kenai has 4 D1 commits so far on their team, including goalie Gavin Enright.
The Steel will be looking for a comeback against the Brown Bears. The last time the two teams faced off Kenai beat the Steel in both games. Still holding the 6th place spot in the Midwest Division, the Steel's top skaters are Tomas Vochozka with 21 points and Camden Thiesing with 15.
The puck drops tonight at 7:10 p.m. at the Chippewa Area Ice Arena. Tonight is $2 Beer Night presented by Leinenkugel's. Fans can get their tickets at the door or online at chippewasteelhockey.com.
