Steel City Menace sign former Hero!

Steel City Menace News Release


The Steel City Menace Professional Indoor Football Club have signed former Cape Fear Hero, quarterback Levi Thompson. Thompson , a 6'3" 208 lb. athlete was a three sport athlete in high school. In three years he played varsity football, basketball and tennis. Thompson was Captain of all three. He played tight end, quarterback , defensive end and free safety.

Here is a look at his career:

College:

Played two years of football at St Augustines University in Raleigh NC. His highlight in a game was when he recorded four tackles on kickoffs and a forced fumble against cross town rival Shaw University in 2008. He didn't play quarterback in games. He was more of a hybrid player in college while still working on his main position which was quarterback. Thompson was a standout four year tennis player. He was a #1 singles and #1 doubles performer. Thompson was a Team captain all four years.

Professional:

Thompson played for Cape Fear Heroes. In the last game of the season he scored twice, once rushing and once passing , was not sacked and had no interceptions as he lead his team to victory versus the Savanah Steam .
