Quotes
Chicago Forward Gunnarwolfe Fontaine
On the Team's Defensive Performance: "We were focusing on that a lot because we don't want let up five goals. In playoffs, you're not going to be able to let five goals and win a game usually. We tried to tighten that up and just get ready for next weekend."
On Playing at the Cotton Bowl on Jan. 3: "Super excited. Never been able to have an outdoor game before so it'll be a lot of emotions going through and should be a lot of fun."
Chicago Forward John Jaworski
On the Team's Preparation: "Every day is the same, we come in, we prepare. We always just focus on individually getting better, then as a team we work, then success comes with that."
On Playing Outdoors: "I'm super excited, I've never been a part of an organized, outdoor game like that so it should be a lot of fun."
Chicago Head Coach Brock Sheahan
On the Team's Effort: "Especially the first 40 minutes, I felt like all areas of the game were about as good as we've played all year. Like I said, defensive zone, we spent very little time there because we were ready to defend early in shifts. In the neutral zone, we were really good. Made great puck decisions, we read where the pressure was coming from, great support. I thought our O-zone play, which is something we've worked on a lot, it's continuing to get better. Then special teams were good again."
