Stealth's Busiest Stretch Starts in the Mile High City

Vancouver, BC (Thursday, March 26, 2015) - The Vancouver Stealth (4-6) will look to snap a two-game losing skid when they make their final visit to the Mile High City as they square off against the Colorado Mammoth (6-4) on Sunday night at the Pepsi Centre. Face-off is at 5:00PM PST and can be seen on TSN 5 (Canada), WatchESPN (US) and heard on TSN 1040 or online at www.tsn.ca/radio/vancouver . This will be the final regular season meeting between the division rivals as the Stealth hope to even the season series after falling 14-11 to Colorado at the Langley Events Centre last weekend. The Stealth almost completed another big comeback, trailing 9-4 early in the third quarter. The Stealth used a 6-1 run to even the game up at 10-10 in the fourth quarter.
"We had some great opportunities we didn't score on," said Stealth Head Coach Dan Perreault. "Credit to Dillon Ward, he made some fantastic saves. When we have those great opportunities we have got to cash in."
Despite the loss, forward Rhys Duch scored his 251st career goal for the Stealth, surpassing Gary Rosyski, becoming the franchise's all-time scoring leader. Duch is now the franchise leader in goals, assists and points.
The Stealth are hoping for a different outcome than the last time they visited the Pepsi Centre when they fell 20-9 on January 24. Corey Small and Joel McCready led the team with four points each for the Stealth while Adam Jones had a career-high 10 points for the Mammoth.
"It's a big game for us," said Perreault. "Colorado is sitting with six wins and we have four. We're up for the challenge; we like playing there."
Vancouver enters the game in third place in the West Division as they embark on their busiest stretch of the year, playing 5 games in 15 days. Four of those games are on the road with the lone home game coming against Edmonton on Saturday, April 4.
Colorado is sitting in second place, a half a game behind Edmonton for top spot in the West.
"We need to make sure the same thing doesn't happen what happened last time when we played them (Vancouver) back-to-back," said Mammoth Coach Chris Gill. "We won the first game and lost the second. In a divisional series like this and down the playoff stretch run, you've got to take care of business and that's what we're looking forward to doing."
Colorado, winners of two in a row will finish off their schedule playing back-to-back games against Calgary, Rochester and Edmonton.
"We can't take any games off and if we do we could easily be on the outside looking in," added Gill.
Stealth goaltender Tyler Richards has been a workhorse this season, logging 552:43 minutes in 10 games between the pipes and ranks fourth in the NLL with 382 saves.
Vancouver will play a home-and-home next weekend against the Edmonton Rush. On Friday, April 3, the Stealth will hit the road to play Edmonton at 6:30PM PST at Rexall Place before returning home the following day on Saturday, April 4 for a 7:00PM PST face-off at the Langley Events Centre as the Rush make their one and only trip to the LEC this season.
