Washington Stealth News Release
The Washington Stealth begin preparations for their inaugural season at the Comcast Arena this weekend, as 34 players have been invited to participate in training camp with hopes of making the 2010 roster. The two practices on December 5 will be free and open to the public.
The open practices will take place from 8:30am to 10:30am and 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the Comcast Arena at Everett. No tickets are required for the event and seating will not be assigned.
"These open training camp sessions will provide our new fans in Washington an opportunity to see what indoor lacrosse is all about," said Stealth Owner Denise Watkins. "It will also give everyone a chance to familiarize themselves with the players they will be cheering on this season."
This weekend will be the first of three training camp weekends before the start of the season. The Stealth will also have camps on the weekends of December 19 and January 2. After training camps have been completed, the roster will be narrowed down to 23 active players and three practice players.
The Stealth open the 2010 season on January 9 against heated West Division rival Colorado Mammoth at the Comcast Arena. Season, group and individual game packages are on sale now and start at just $75 for the eight home games. For ticket information, call 877-MY-75-TIX or log on to www.stealthlax.com.
