Stealth Set for Back-To-Back Weekend

Vancouver, BC (Thursday) - The Vancouver Stealth (2-2) hit the road when they visit the Saskatchewan Rush (1-2) this Friday, January 27, 2017 and are back home against the Georgia Swarm (3-0) on Saturday, January 28, 2017.

Although a grind, back-to-backs have been kind to the Stealth early this season. Games 1 and 2 were on the road against Calgary and Colorado on opening weekend, where the Stealth won 12-11 and 15-9 to start the season off 2-0.

Since then, Vancouver has dropped a pair of games to Calgary and Buffalo and are looking to get back on their winning ways. The Stealth have taken a lot of positives from the last two outings. After a one-week hiatus where he played in a friendly for Team USA, the Stealth welcomed back faceoff specialist Brendan Fowler. Who along with Jarrett Toll have led Vancouver into the top three in faceoff stats across the National Lacrosse League. Rhys Duch and Corey Small have continued their scoring touch, both having identical stats with12 goals and 18 assists for 30 points and are atop of the league in scoring.

On Friday Night, the Stealth visit the reigning NLL Champions in Saskatoon. The Rush started the season off a little rough, dropping their first two games to Georgia and Toronto. It was not until Week 4 that Saskatchewan gained their first victory 16-8 against Rochester. The Rush are led by Mark Matthews who has scored 8 goals and 17 assists in three games.

The Stealth will head back home to the Langley Events Centre on Saturday Night when they welcome the undefeated Georgia Swarm. Georgia is riding high after defeating Saskatchewan 18-10, Buffalo 18-14 and New England 14-9. Their high-powered offense is led by Lyle Thompson, Jordan Hall and Shayne Jackson who have combined for 55 points in the first three games.

Saturday's game is the "Stealth Experience" night where any youth wearing a minor sports jersey will get into the Langley Events Centre for free with an accompanying adult. After the game, Stealth players will invite fans onto the turf where they will be playing games, hosting demonstrations and signing autographs.
