
Stealth Score 14-13 Overtime Win over Calgary Roughnecks

SAN JOSE - Mike Regan scored the game-winning goal in overtime to defeat the Calgary Roughnecks 14-13. The win ensures home field advantage in the first round of the playoffs for San Jose.
San Jose held a steady lead for most of the first half taking a 9-6 lead into the locker room at halftime. From there, the game evolved into a seesaw affair throughout the second half. Calgary took control of the game in the third quarter outscoring the Stealth 4-1 to tie the score at 10 heading into the fourth quarter.
Calgary continued their momentum netting the first two goals of the final period, but the Stealth reclaimed the lead with three unanswered goals from Rusty Kruger, Josh Sanderson and Chris White. A late goal by Calgary's Ted Dowling evened the score at 11:03 to send the game to overtime.
Regan (40 goals, 27 assists) had three goals and two assists, while Sanderson (27 goals, 56 assists) and Gary Rosyski (31 goals, 30 assists) also contributed a goal and four assists to lead San Jose in scoring. Dan Teat (31 goals, 16 assists) Chipped in two goals and two assists, and Cam Woods (six goals, 12 assists) added a goal and three assists.
The Stealth improve to 9-5 on the season, which puts them two games ahead of the Calgary Roughnecks for second place in the Western Division. The Stealth's next match up is against the Arizona Sting at HP Pavilion, Saturday, Apr. 10 at 7:30 PM.
