Stealth Ready to Open 2017 Training Camp

The Vancouver Stealth have closed their Invitational Try Out Camp and will now be opening their 2017 Training Camp.

38 players were invited to try out last weekend. Players included 14 from outside the province of British Columbia and came from as far east as New Brunswick and as south as Kansas as they tried their luck running drills and taking part in three scrimmages.

Of the players, Charles Claxton, Drew Dziadyk, Tommy McKee, Colton Porter and Jake Taylor were all invited to main camp.

"This past weekend was a great experience, there were a lot a of good players out there and the pace was high, it was a competitive camp," said Jake Taylor. "I'm excited to be able to get an opportunity to bring my game up to the NLL level."

The Stealth Training Camp will open Saturday, November 19th from 9-11am and again from 6pm-8pm Saturday night and the 40-man roster will take the floor again Sunday, November 20th from 9-11am.

The schedule will repeat again on the weekends of December 3-4 and 10-11. Roster Cut Down Day will take place on Thursday, December 15, 2016 where the team will be reduced to 20 active roster players and 4 players on the team's practice roster. Practice will resume on Saturday, December 17 from 9-11am and 6-8pm as well on Sunday, December 18 from 9-11am. The team will conclude their pre-season sessions on the weekend of December 30-31 with dates and times pending.

All the sessions will take place at the Langley Events Centre's Fieldhouse and will be open and free to the public.

The Stealth will host two pre-season scrimmages including against the Calgary Roughnecks on December 3, 2016 at 7:00pm and against the NLL Champions Saskatchewan Rush at 9:00am on December 4, 2016. In addition to the two Stealth friendlies, the Langley Events Centre will play host to two other scrimmages over the same weekend with Saskatchewan taking on Colorado and the Roughnecks competing against the Mammoth.
