Stealth Net Three of Four National Lacrosse League Player of the Week Awards

SAN JOSE - The National Lacrosse League announced today that San Jose Stealth forward, Mike Regan, was voted as Offensive Player of the Week and Overall Player of the Week and goaltender, Brandon Miller, was voted as Defensive Player of the Week. The weekly Player Awards are determined by a vote of the General Managers and Head Coaches of the League's ten member clubs.

Regan, 25, is currently tied for first on the team in points with 17 (12 goals, five assists). He posted 5 goals for 5 points including the game-winning goal in 8-7 OT win over Anaheim on Sunday, January 25 in Anaheim and one goal with two assists for three points in the 12-10 win over Philadelphia on Friday, January 23 at HP Pavilion.

Miller, 24, allowed only seven goals in 8-7 OT win over Anaheim (60:59 of play) including 34 saves on Sunday, January 25. Against Philadelphia on Friday, January 23, Miller came in to relieve starter Rob Blasdell and picked up the win, allowing two goals on 13 shots in 18:33 of play and adding one assist in a 12-10 win. These League honors are the first awarded to a Stealth player. Out of the four awards given out weekly, (Offensive Player, Defensive Player, Rookie and Overall Player of the Week) the Stealth came away from week five of the 2004 NLL Season with three of the Awards.
