January 16, 2015 - National Lacrosse League (NLL)
Vancouver Stealth News Release
Vancouver, BC (Friday, January 16, 2015) - The Vancouver Stealth announced today that transition player Tyler Garrison has been placed on the 10 day Injured Reserve List retroactive to January 12 and Tim Henderson has been placed on the Active Roster - Evaluation List from the Hold Out List. The team also announced the signing of defenseman Colin Boucher.
Henderson did not play in 2014 due to U-S military commitments. In 2013, he appeared in 11 games for the Stealth in his rookie year, adding 4 assists and 19 loose balls. He also tallied 1 goal and 3 loose balls in 3 playoff games including the NLL Final.
Boucher (Huntsville, Ontario) is a 6'5 240 pound defenseman, and has been a part of the last two Mann Cup championship teams with the Six Nations Chiefs. The 26-year old played for the Barrie Blizzards of the Canadian Lacrosse League where he was voted Defensive Player of the Year and First Team All-Star in 2014.
"Our back end is a little banged up right now," said Stealth President and General Manager Doug Locker. "Adding Tim and Colin give us some additional options heading into this weekend. Colin is a big, strong, physical defender with a couple of Mann Cup rings and Tim brings NLL experience, size and athleticism, and we are really looking forward to having him back with us."
The Stealth prepare for a visit from the Buffalo Bandits on Saturday night at the Langley Events Centre. The first 500 kids 13-and under will receive a free Johnny Powless T-shirt. Face-off is at 7:00PM, doors open at 5:30PM.
