December 28, 2006 - National Lacrosse League (NLL)
San Jose Stealth News Release
(San Jose, CA, December 28, 2006) --- The San Jose Stealth have announced their two game television schedule for the 2007 Season. The schedule includes the January 5 Stealth Home Opener against the Rochester Knighthawks aired on FSN Bay Area and the March 24 match-up against the Portland LumberJax at Portland aired on Versus.
FSN Bay Area will broadcast the Home Opener live at 7:30 p.m. with Dan Rusanowsky calling the play by play for the Stealth. Dan will be joined by a Stealth scratched player for the color commentary. Stealth radio announcer Rocky Koplik will offer commentary on KLIV 1590 AM.
The March 24 game at Portland will be broadcast by VERSUS at 7:00 p.m.
This Season Opener promises to be one of great anticipation. Last year the Stealth and Knighthawks met only once, and the Stealth walked away victorious with a 13-12 win. This year, spectators of this season opener will see a re-match worthy of west coast proportions.
The Stealth will debut their latest acquisition, Colin Doyle on opening night at HP Pavilion. Likened to the 'Joe Thornton' of lacrosse by Stealth G.M. Johnny Mouradian, Doyle's resume includes 2005 NLL MVP, three-time playoff MVP (1999, 2002 and 2005), and five-time NLL champion. Between 1998 and 2006 Doyle scored 297 goals and 388 assists ranking him sixth in all-time scoring and fifth in all-time assists in the NLL.
