Wichita Stealth News Release
Wichita, KS -Last week the Wichita Stealth was assigned former Kansas University quarterback Jay Alexander by arenafootball2. The Wichita Stealth adds another Jayhawk with the assignment of Chris Eneking by arenafootball2.
Eneking comes to Wichita after spending the first part of the 2002 season with the Arena Football expansion Dallas Desperado's. Enneking began playing in the AFL last season when he played for Bob Cortese and the defunct Oklahoma Wranglers. Cortese is now the Director of Football Operations for the Stealth, and the offensive coordinator.
"He gives us another solid lineman that has experience in this game, and will make us stronger up front," said head coach Land Jacobsen. "I think that it is great to add another local product to our team."
Enneking is from Lawrence, Kansas where he played high school football at Lawrence High School. While there he was named High School All-American as an offensive and defensive lineman. Enneking then moved on to Kansas University where he played for Glen Mason and Terry Allen. While at Kansas University he was named to the 1999 Big 12 Honorable Mention team.
The Stealth hope the 6'4"-280 lb. Center will solidify the Stealth's offensive line and decrease the number of fumbles that have plagued them during the center-quarterback exchange. Enneking is the only Stealth lineman that has previous experience as a center. He will replace Matt Walls at center. Walls will slide to a guard position, which will be a more familiar role.
