Vancouver Stealth News Release

Vancouver, BC (Wednesday) - The Vancouver Stealth announced today that they have acquired goaltender Tye Belanger from the New England Black Wolves in exchange for Mitch McMichael.

"We are excited to add a goaltender with NLL experience to our roster and we feel Tye is coming into his own as a goalie," said Stealth President and General Manager Doug Locker.

The Wallaceburg, Ontario native will be heading into his sixth season in the National Lacrosse League. He was selected in the second round (16th overall) in the 2011 NLL Entry Draft by Colorado. Belanger has played 75 regular season and playoff games for Colorado and New England amassing a record of 8-12. Throughout his career he has a G.A.A of 12.53 and .751 save percentage in the regular season.

Mitch MicMichael spent four seasons with the Stealth organization playing 41 games, scoring 6 goals and 22 assists for 28 points and collected 229 loose balls.

"Trading Mitch was difficult, however this deal made sense for both clubs," said Locker. "We have nothing but respect for him and wish him the best moving forward."
